Las Vegas Convention Center Loop – $52.5 billion.

This innovative transportation solution demonstrates Las Vegas’s commitment to embracing new ideas and executing them quickly. It’s a game-changer for convention attendees and a must-see attraction for visitors!

The Las Vegas Convention Center Loop is an underground transportation system located beneath the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) campus. It consists of two parallel tunnels, each approximately 0.85 miles long. The tunnels are filled with gravel and asphalt to create a flat roadway, one lane wide. There are three passenger stations: one at each end of the tunnels and one in the middle. Passengers travel in all-electric Tesla Model 3 vehicles.

The LVCC Loop aims to provide a quick and convenient way to move convention attendees throughout the 200-acre LVCC campus.

Passengers can travel between key LVCC destinations in just under two minutes, significantly faster than the 25-minute walk by foot.

The system is designed to transport more than 4,400 convention attendees per hour.

Initially, the vehicles are staffed with drivers, but there are plans to operate them autonomously in the future.

The underground tunnels offer several advantages like they are structurally safe, weatherproof, and noise-free. Going underground allows for easy expansion by adding multiple levels. The LVCC Loop aims to alleviate traffic congestion and provide a new transportation option for visitors to Las Vegas.

The success of the LVCC Loop has paved the way for further development. Plans have been announced to create an expanded system called the Vegas Loop. The Vegas Loop will connect visitors from Downtown Las Vegas to the Strip and extend as far south as Allegiant Stadium, offering an efficient alternative to traditional transportation.
